Lockyer wrote (Dawn. Astr. p. 370.), “The next question which arises now that we have considered the facts relating to the astronomy of Northern Egypt is one connected with the cults which we have proved to come down the Nile. Were they indigenous or imported?
“Although I have put it forward with all reserve, there is evidence which suggests that the temples so far traced sacred to the southern cult are of earlier foundation than those to the north; and they are associated with Edfû and Philæ, which are known to be of high antiquity. This is one point of difference. Another is that the almost entire absence of Set temples and east and west pyramids up the river indicates that, so far as these structures go, we lack the links which astronomically and mythologically connect the Delta with Babylonia either directly or by common origin.”
The Delta is in the Mediterranean. Thus, if the astronomy of Northern Egypt is one connected with the cults which we have proved to come down the Nile, as Lockyer wrote, it demonstrates that this system is Mediterranean. And what is the fountain of this Mediterranean system, whose ancient languages cannot be translated, but whose letters correspond to Phoenician, and who had mummies in Luxor wrapt in their scripts? Etruria. The peninsula we call Italy is the observable fountain from whence this system flows, the real universal empire.
Considering the words of Dionysius of Halicarnassus, the Etruscans were the first to sail from Italy and colonize Athens, Lemnos, and likely Egypt. I believe this is the reason scholars suggested Athens was an Egyptian colony. For those unfamiliar, the Tyrrhenians was one of the appellations that the Greeks gave to the Etruscans. See the Tyrrhenian Sea on the west coast of Italy in the above image.
Dionysius of Halicarnassus wrote (Bk. I. Sections 23-26.), “For the Pelasgians in a time of general scarcity in the land had vowed to offer to Jupiter, Apollo and the Cabeiri tithes of all their future increase; but when their prayer had been answered, they set apart and offered to the gods the promised portion of all their fruits and cattle only, as if their vow had related to them alone. This is the account related by Myrsilus of Lesbos, who uses almost the same words as I do now, except that he does not call the people Pelasgians, but Tyrrhenians, of which I shall give the reason a little later.
“These, therefore, were the first to migrate from Italy and wander about Greece and many parts of the barbarian world; but after them others had the same experience, and this continued every year. For the rulers in these cities ceased not to select the first-fruits of the youth as soon as they arrived at manhood, both because they desired to render what was due to the gods and also because they feared uprisings on the part of lurking enemies. Many, also, under specious pretenses were being driven away by their enemies through hatred; so that there were many emigrations and the Pelasgian nation was scattered over most of the earth.
“Not only were the Pelasgians superior to many in warfare, as the result of their training in the midst of dangers while they lived among warlike nations, but they also rose to the highest proficiency in seamanship, by reason of their living with the Tyrrhenians; and Necessity, which is quite sufficient to give daring to those in want of a livelihood, was their leader and director in every dangerous enterprise, so that wherever they went they conquered without difficulty. And the same people were called by the rest of the world both Tyrrhenians and Pelasgians, the former name being from the country out of which they had been driven and the latter in memory of their ancient origin. Concerning the Pelasgian nation these are his words: ‘There is also a Chalcidian element among them, but the largest element is Pelasgian, belonging to the Tyrrhenians who once inhabited Lemnos and Athens.’
If DH’s account of Myrsilus of Lesbos’s words are dependable, then it clearly shows the Tyrrhenians spreading to Lemnos and Athens, and then to Egypt and beyond, absorbing the locals of each place into their crews and thalassocracy.
I must preface the following with the lack of inscriptions to demonstrate the claims regarding the deities. I’m hesitant to include photos because every photo of the artifacts that I come across have no inscriptions that prove the characters are who archaeologists claim they are. But they are claimed to have been discovered in locations like the following. Lockyer wrote (Ib. pp. 371, 372.), “Along with the culture of Eridu went the worship of the god of Eridu, the primal god of Babylonia, Ea, Ía, Oannês, symbolised as a goat-fish, and connected in some way with the sun when in Capricornus.
“This Ía was such a great god that to him was assigned the functions of Maker of Men; he was also a great potter and art workman. He eventually formed a triad with Anu and Bil, that is, the poles of the heavens and the equator.”
Ía is Ya, or Jah, written IE in Hebrew (יה), meaning God, and ΙΗ (Iota Eta; IE) in Greek, an epithet for Apollo. Ioannes, a name for both Johns in the Bible, is Ia-Oannes, or God-Oannes, the angel of the abyss, Apollo, the sun in winter, Capricorn, which, though it begins on December 25th, takes up the majority of January, the foundation of the year: Capricorn, in which the Old Year ends and New Year begins: Janus.
Dionysius, or Dionysos, is from Io Nissi, which is Ia-Ni. It also looks like Yoni.
The Latin variation of Ía, or Jah (IE), is Io, as in Jove, which is why Tetragrammaton is pronounced (Yoh-vuh), just like Jove, and their victory change was Io, Io Triumphe! Another epithet for Bacchus, the sun, or Hermes (Mercury) Thrice-Great, the sun, was Triomphalos, the triple navel, for the sun is great at three points in its declination: the Tropic of Capricorn, the Equator, and the Tropic of Cancer. This begets the triple crown of the Lord (Baal, Kyrios, Adonis, Jesus, etc.), the Papal Tiara.
This crown is held at St. Peter’s Basilica. St. Peter represents January, the foundation of the Church, his name signifying both stone (Petra) and patriarch (Pater), and stone also signifies Lord: Tyre (Tsr, Sur).
The best way I can articulate the cultural diffusion we see is that it originated in Italy, scattered abroad, consolidated, perverted, and then returned to Italy in its most despotic form a few centuries before the establishment of the Common Era. From there, it spread to the extremities of Europe.
