Fresh Batch #8: Proof That Muslims & Jews of the Ottoman Empire Conspired to Foment Civil War in Europe

In a letter to Nathan Ben Saddi (circa 1670 AD), a Jew at Vienna, Mahmut (a Muslim spy for the Ottoman Empire) confirmed of the Civil Wars in Europe being fomented by external powers, “Besides, if Things should not proceed to an open Rupture, yet, thou knowest, the Hungarians are offended at the late Peace, which will not fail to put them upon committing perpetual Acts of Hostility. They stomach it extremely, that the Town of Newhawsel is in the Grand Signior’s Hands; and they will be always on their Guard in the neighbouring Parts, patrolling about, and skirmishing with our Foragers: Which will afford a good Occasion at any time for our Sovereign to break the Peace, whenever it is for his Interest. There are abundance of Consequences in such a Case, more than we can think of or foresee, yet all to our Advantage. As long as we go the right Way to work, all Things will succeed well. Make no false Steps, and there’s no danger of stumbling.”
The letter will continue, however, while this occurred in Europe, the Spanish Inquisition was focused on the Americas. There was a provision made that no Spaniard should proceed to America without first obtaining a license, and registering his name at Seville. Spain was jealous even of her own subjects going there. Lawyers, surgeons, and clerks, (under which latter denomination all persons of studious habits and pursuits, and of an inquiring turn of mind, might be included,) as well as Jews, Moors, and heretics, and persons suspected by the Inquisition, and even the descendants of such, to the third generation, were forbidden to visit the New World.
