When forgery is exposed, those well-meaning in the institutions behind it never spend as much time acknowledging the forgery as they did professing the lies. Instead, they just stop referring to the forgery and move on like nothing happened. When it comes to the Oera Linda Book, one of the main reasons I don’t think it was an institutional forgery is because it never received support from institutions. That means it was organized by a few, if not one individual, rather than an organization of priests. However, whomever wrote it must have been educated by priests of the universal system. That narrows the possibilities to it either its history being that which the codex proclaims, or a forgery from someone like Haverschmidt who was a member of an institution of the priests. It could also merely be fan-fiction, blending mythology of the ancients and being written in a letter system of lines and circles suggested to have been used by the Saxons.
Thomas Astle wrote (Orig. Prog. Writ. p. 96), “The Saxons, who were invited hither by the Britons, and who arrived about the year 449, were unacquainted with letters. The characters which they afterwards used, were adopted by them in the island, and though the writing in England from the fifth to the middle of the eleventh century is called Saxon (the architecture in England, which preceded the Gothic, is usually called Saxon, but it is in fact Roman), it will presently appear, that the letters used in this island were derived from the Roman, and were really Roman in their origin, and Italian in their structure at first, but were barbarized in their aspect by the British Romans and Roman Britons (see Whitaker’s Manchester, vol. II. p. 329; where he shews that the opinion of Mr. Wanely, that the Saxons brought letters with them to England, is ill-founded).”
This the death of any claim that the alphabet used in the Oera Linda Book is ancient. What else in it is a forgery, or being passed off as authentic?

I am more interested in Truth, and what occurred in the historical record, so I will not be continuing with the Oera Linda Book unless someone provides evidence of its historicity. I like to decode fiction as much as anyone, but I only have so much time, and right now I’m working hard every day to bring you my latest project, where no imagination or belief is required. I will demonstrate my claims to you.
