This is a post for members to reference should they take up investigating the monasteries in Mexico. It’s taken me several days to compile so that you can save that time. Enjoy. Huejotzingo means Where the Willows Grow. Originally a primitive church built in 1529, dedicated to Archangel Michael, work began in the 1540s to turn it into what is seen in the photos, completed in the 1570s.
